Heavy Metal Testing
It is essential to test for the amount of lead and other Heavy Metal Toxins that are stored in your body.
Why Can’t I Get a Blood Test?
A simple blood test is not sufficient. That will reveal the amount of lead you’ve been exposed to in the last week or 10 days. Lead is absorbed from the air, from your food, it even enters your body through your skin. It passes through the blood and then gets deposited in bone and other connective tissue.
What is a “Provocative” Heavy Metal Test?
Since most of the Toxic Heavy Metals are stored in the bone and other tissue, it must be pulled out through a process known as “provocation.” A provocative heavy-metal test consists of an intravenous infusion of calcium EDTA. This safe and painless substance can pull lead out of its hiding places.
The only way to detect stored amounts is with a “provocative” heavy-metal test. In this simple and safe test involves an infusion of calcium EDTA administered intravenously. The calcium EDTA pulls lead and other toxic metals out of their hiding places where they can be passed out via the urine and tested. Think of it like shaking the tree to see what comes out. With that information in hand, a plan can be crafted to lower the amounts of lead and other toxic metals in your body.
What Steps are involved in Heavy Metal Testing?
- Call our Warwick, Rhode Island office and book your heavy metal test.
- The day of your heavy metal test, hydrate and avoid supplements (prescription medication only)
- When you arrive at our office, you will be escorted into our state-of-the-art infusion room for a relaxing Calcium EDTA infusion. It takes less than 30 minutes!
- You will book a call or appointment with our RN to review the results of your test Free of Charge.
- You’ll leave our Warwick, RI infusion therapy office with a test kit. At home, you’ll collect a urine sample for 6-hours. A pre-paid fed-ex box is included – you can call for pick-up or drop off at a fed-ex location.
- In two weeks, you’ll receive your results.
Cancer Detection Testing
Galleri Liquid Biopsy Early Cancer Detection Test
What this test measures: If you currently have cancer cells in you body.
Multi-cancer early detection test. The earlier that cancer can be found, the higher the chance of successful treatment and survival. Yet too often cancer goes undetected until it has progressed to an advanced stage. The Galleri test detects more than 50 types of cancer through a simple blood draw.
The liquid biopsy works by identifying fragments of cancer DNA circulating in the bloodstream. Everyone has some DNA in their blood, shed from their bodies’ cells. People with cancer may also have some DNA from cancer cells.
This test looks for signals present in the blood that could indicate the presence of cancer. If a cancer signal is detected, the results can point to where in the body the cancer signal is coming from with high accuracy. This can help guide your next steps. [2 weeks for results]
Empower Genetic Cancer Test
What this test measures: Your genetic risk of developing cancer.
This is a genetic test for those who want to know more about their risk of developing cancer, why it might be common in their family, or want to inform treatment options following a cancer diagnosis.
Empower tests up to 53 genes associated with risk for common hereditary cancers using blood samples. Breast STAT panel results arrive in 5-7 days, with a full report in 2 weeks.
Food Allergy and Sensitivity Testing
Complete Food Profile
We measure the following: 132 foods and additives including candida.
Find out which you are sensitive to and start a new way of living.
This test is a patented, multi-pathway delayed food sensitivity test. The test uses new technology that measures both IgG and Immune Complexes, the most common food-related pathways in the body. A simple blood test is needed. [2 weeks for results]
Micronutrient test measures: 31 vitamins, minerals, amino/fatty acids, antioxidants, and metabolites – and how they affect cellular function in a person.
Correlating micronutrient deficiencies not only slows aging and degenerative disease progression, it can also prevent as well as repair cellular dysfunction, and by extension, disease. [2 weeks for results]
NutriPro – micronutrient test + genetic profile
This test measures: Levels of various genetic mutations present in the body along with the measure of the actual nutrient value in serum, RBC and WBC as appropriate.
The panel is designed to give a complete picture of the predispositions to various nutrient deficiencies along with the current levels of these nutrients enabling a good overview of the potential nutrient pitfalls and how the individual’s nutrient values are currently. [2 weeks for results]
This test measures: Gluten and wheat sensitivity
The most comprehensive and sensitive assessment of gluten and wheat sensitivity and the most thorough assessment of intestinal barrier stability.
We use 3Dense technology, which is the only highly sensitive peptide-based array able to test for reactivity to over 33,000 peptides in wheat and gluten. By testing at the peptide level, we eliminate the common drawbacks of other food sensitivity tests that are confounded by water soluble protein limitations, whole protein or extract cross-reactivity, and cooked vs raw effects on proteolysis. It has sensitivity and specificity of 99% and 100%, respectively. [2 weeks for results]
Fungal Antibodies Testing
Toxins released by fungi can cause multiple systemic symptoms, including but not limited to:
- Gastrointestinal: bloating, constipation, gas, heartburn, inflammation, irritable bowel syndrome, bad breath (halitosis), oral thrush
- Skin: acne, dandruff, anal itching, dermatitis, nail fungus, discolored nails, hives
- Neurological: poor memory, tingling, anxiety, fatigue, mood swings, brain fog
- Endocrine: adrenal and thyroid malfunction, impotence, sex hormone imbalances
Fungal overgrowth can be the underlying cause of many chronic inflammatory symptoms or conditions, and symptoms can be identical to many other systemic infections, requiring highly accurate lab testing to provide definitive answers.
Antibodies to fungal microorganisms can often provide clues to fungal overgrowths in the human body that are otherwise difficult to detect, due to biofilm formation.
In patients with exposure to other fungal infections or mycoses, such as toxic mold exposure, concomitant fungal infections are common, and must also be detected and treated to ensure total return to health and well-being. [2 weeks for results]
